Founded 1978 in Aschaffenburg, Bavaria. Second generation. 94 employees. Machines in 38 countries, and the phone still gets answered by people whose names you learn.
Helmut Bross started the company in a rented workshop on the edge of Aschaffenburg, repairing printing presses for the local packaging industry. He got tired of telling customers their problems were unfixable, so in 1980 he built his first cylinder press — the MP-200, of which eleven were made. Two are still running. One is in our entrance hall; the other refuses to retire at a cosmetics plant near Milan and we get a Christmas card about it every year.
His daughter Katharina took over management in 2006, and the third generation is currently driving a forklift through the summer holidays (his idea of work experience; the safety training was real, the hair is greyer now).
The machining hall, second building, 2019 extension.
We weld our own frames. Cast and welded in Aschaffenburg, machined in-house to ±0.02 mm. It costs more. It is why our presses still hold registration after fifteen years, and why our used machines hold value in a way that annoys our sales department.
Parts for 15 years, minimum. Written guarantee with every machine. The oldest press we currently support is from 1994; we extended that one voluntarily. Contract details on the service page.
Honest spec sheets. Cycle rates are measured with real ink on real parts, not with a stopwatch and optimism. If an option doesn’t make sense for your work, our engineers are under instructions to say so — they are Bavarian, so this is not a hardship for them.
Industriestrasse 14, 63741 Aschaffenburg, Germany. Fifteen minutes from the A3, visitor parking at the gate, and the canteen’s Thursday schnitzel is worth planning a visit around.
