Service & Spare Parts

A press that is down is a press that is expensive. Our service department is run by Sabine König, who knows where every machine we ever built is and what it had for breakfast. Hotline +49 6021 555-118, Mon–Fri 7:00–17:00 CET; 24/7 emergency line for contract customers.

How the hotline works

You call, a technician answers — not a ticket system, not a chatbot, a person who has stood next to your machine model. Roughly 60% of calls are solved on the phone, because most stoppages are a sensor, a setting, or a gripper finger that has quietly worn past its tolerance. If it can’t be solved by phone, we connect remotely through the MP-Control panel (with your permission; the connection is one-way and logged) and watch the machine run. If it still can’t be solved, a technician gets on a train or a plane.

Maintenance contracts

Three tiers. All prices per machine per year, plus travel at cost for on-site visits outside the included days. Prices exclude VAT.

Honest advice, since you're reading this page: Comfort is what most single-shift shops need, and Full is for two-shift operations where a stopped carousel costs more per hour than the contract does per year. If you run one press, one shift, and your operators have been trained properly, Basic plus an annual inspection day bought separately is often enough. We would rather you renew a small contract for ten years than churn a large one.

On-site service

Nine technicians based in Aschaffenburg, with partner technicians in northern Italy, Iberia, Poland and Ontario (Canada) for faster first response. On-site work carries a 12-month warranty on the repair itself. Hotel and travel billed at cost — we will warn you before the invoice gets interesting, and for anything beyond a day trip you will get the travel estimate in writing first.

Typical jobs: indexer conversions, optical registration retrofits, spindle and mandrel alignment after a crash (we won't ask how it happened; the machine already told us), and the annual inspection that catches the bearing noise six weeks before it becomes a Tuesday.

Spare parts availability

Registered machine owners can browse the parts catalogue with exploded diagrams and order history: register your machine with serial number and owner details, or email parts@moreprinter.com. And a warning we mean seriously: imitation gripper fingers are in circulation via third-party marketplaces. Genuine parts carry a laser-etched MP number and a QR code. If a price looks too good, it is usually a finger that isn't.

Training

Operator training at our Aschaffenburg facility or at yours: one day, hands-on, with your inks and your parts if you send them ahead. Roughly half of "service calls" in a machine's first year are training questions wearing a costume, so we now include the first session with every new press. Refresher sessions cost a modest fee and, in our experience, pay for themselves the first time someone doesn't index the carousel with a squeegee still down.

Planning service around production? Contract inspection days can be scheduled up to six months ahead and moved once for free. The calendar fills around FESPA and the autumn rush; service@moreprinter.com has the current availability.
